Another year has gone from our calendar. And were one more year close to the final day. 2014 was really a nice year with some technological breakthroughs. Actually we have innovations in every moment. Today I would like to write a review on Internet Browsers. In this post, I want you have a look back to the 2014.

- Google Chrome: Market leader and the most popular browser as well. Chrome has captured more than 50% share of the browser market and ever growing!
- Mozilla Firefox: Beaten by Chrome about 2 years ago and now gonna lose its position as market challenger. Firefox has now only 26 to 28% market share and losing users to Chrome rapidly.
- Internet Explorer: Released in 1995 and survived as #1 for more than a decade. Now just keeping the honor of default browser of Windows OS. Capturing only 10 to 12% market share, the explorer will not give you a bad browsing experience at all!
- Opera: Tried their best to be popular in desktop environment. But it really disappoints the users! Being branded for mobile devices, Opera Mini is really successful in smart phones, tablets and featured phones.
- Apple Safari: A default browser for Mac OS. If the browsers were reviewed by weight, Safari would be the champion in this arena! I really hate this stupid browser. Its too heavy to work with. Your system may suffer to run it. It loads pages slowly as per my experience.
- Others: Combining all other browsers, you cant get more than 2 to 5% share. In Marks PC Solution, Ive detected these browsers - Mobile Safari, UCBrowser, Iron, Maxthon, Chromeframe, CriOS, NetFront, Netscape, Dragon etc.
Chrome has taken the first position in 2012. And now its going far away from Firefox. Nice look, continuous development, new features have made it unbeaten. Recently, Chrome has added some exciting features like - Cloud Printing, PDF conversion etc.
On the other hand, Firefox is still popular to the developers. Thousands of extensions have made it popular to the advanced users. But its heavy looking interface is mainly responsible for decline.
As a default browser, the number of users of Internet Explorer is really low. It should have at least 20% users. But its beaten by the browsing experience, compatibility and extensions (add-ons) of Chrome and Firefox. Microsoft is trying hard to make it popular. Earlier, the developers used to follow IE standards. But now they follow Firefox or Chrome sometimes!

Hey guys,
First of all this is the first time I will include a review on my blog. This device is from MyPhone, it is the MyPhone My28s. I got it from SMART for only 888 pesos only. It is locked to SMART network. It also comes with 2 SIM card. There is one SMART Buddy SIM and the other one is a Talk N Text SIM card. SMART Buddy SIM is for Data and Talk N Text is for free text.
I bought it for my son for his gaming and viewing (YouTube) pleasure. For an affordable price it is a great device. Only the cons is the battery life which is not a deal breaker for me.

The device now cost 988 pesos which is available in black as I ordered another phone for my friend and also comes up with 100 pesos load (limited batman edition prepaid card)
THE CAMERA
I am not expert in camera but for an affordable price dont expect to have an outstanding results from its camera. The back camera has 5MP camera resolution coupled with LED flash for taking pictures in low light. The LED flash can also use as a torch in case of power interruption in your city. You also have 2MP front facing camera with LED flash for taking selfie pictures in the dark :D.

GAMING PERFORMANCE
Im not really into gaming but Ive tried to play Age of Wushu which is a graphic intensive game, you can notice a lag while starting up the game, but once the game started the game is playable. Expect lag when the hero is making skill and other hero is performing skill.
Light games are OK to play there is no lag at all. I played Angry Birds, Monster Shooter, Fruit Ninja and Candy Crush. Yes I did not tried COC but I can assure you that it is fully working with this phone. You can also ask at Facebook Group for any games that I have not tried. My28S community is friendly ;)
BATTERY LIFE
With its miniscule battery it will last a day if you use the phone moderately. But if you are playing games it can only last 1.5 - 2 hours. Using mobile data will kill the battery as the phone heats up too much like you are frying your hands :). It is advisable to use WiFi as WiFi consumes less battery.
CONCLUSION
If you are planning to buy a smartphone that is "SULIT". This would be your smartphone of choice. Great device for those who are studying which can help on researching and also for social media consumption. This device is better than Cherry Mobile C100/Cherry Mobile Astro/Cherry Mobile C200/Cherry Mobile Comet/Cherry Mobile B100 which offers limited internal storage and cost more and outdated OS (Jellybean and Kitkat)

Do you know, you can claim your domain/site in Facebook to get insights? If you register your site on Facebook, you can view analytics for referral traffic, stories, user engagement and other related information. And definitely this will help you to take better actions for your site.
I always say, if Facebook were a country, it could be the most populated state of the world. Its a site with the most registered active users. No other site, even Google and Twitter cant attract users as much as Facebook. Most of the users waste their valuable time on Facebook.
But as a blogger/ web developer/ app developer, you cant either waste your time or avoid Facebook. You can take advantage of the popularity of Facebook. You can promote your website/ blog/ app on Facebook. You can do this in your way. Im not gonna interfere there!
Today Im writing about - claiming/ registering a site on Facebook. You can do this easily. All you need is just adding a simple meta tag before your closing head (</head>) tag.
Never try this trick if you -
- Dont have a website/ blog
- Dont have a Facebook ID
Okay, Im talking too much for a little trick! Lets back to the track -
- Visit this page - Facebook Insignts
- Domain Insights > Add your Domain
- A new window will appear with your name and a meta property
- Type your sites URL there (ie. www.markspcsolution.com)
- Copy the meta property (ie. <meta property="fb:admins" content="100002117543096" />) and paste it in your sites HTML closing head tag.
- Now hit on the get insights button.
- If youre done properly, you will see your domain here.
Hope youve completed the task easily. But I couldnt do this as easily. Dont know why the meta property didnt appear when I was trying to implement the code in my site. Maybe something was wrong in that time when I was trying.
If anybody face the same problem, I mean if the meta property with your numeric FB ID didnt appear as shown in the above image, follow the steps below -
- Go to Facebook Insights
- Hit on the Add a Domain button
- Enter your domain in the domain box
- Find your numeric Facebook ID
- Copy the following code and paste it in your sites HTML header section
<meta property="fb:admins" content="100002197543196" />
Replace the above numeric ID with yours. And the code should be placed before the closing head tag - </head>
You can also use several IDs here. Suppose you want multiple users to get your sites insights. Then you can use more than one ID as below -
<meta property="fb:admins" content="102117543096, 10034534562" />
Remember, this will just help you to get insights from facebook. If you wanna customize your sharing URL, Image or description you need to use Open Graph. I will discuss it later. Thanks.

Sometimes you may like a font which appears on a website or somewhere else as an image. And it would be very difficult for you to detect that font. And if that font is not installed on your system, then it will be more difficult. So, in this post Im gonna share a website that identifies font name - whatfontis.com
Background Story
You know the title font of markspcsolution.com is Monotype Corsiva. When I visit this site using my Android Phone, I see a different title font. Look at the image below -
The title font in the above image is not one that I used as a title font for my site. But it looks cool! Thats why I tried to know the name of this font.
I tried most of the fonts using MS Word to match it. But this font was not installed on my system.
Later I took help from What Font is.
About What Font is
There are thousands of sites across the web which may help you identify the name of a font. But not all of them are good enough. Not all of them are reliable. Im recommending What Font is because I got the result quickly using this site. And its easy to use.
They have more than 300,000 fonts in their database!!
Font Identifying Process
- First, youve to obtain the clear picture of your text.
- Ive used the above image to prepare this tutorial.
- Now follow this link - http://www.whatfontis.com
- Hit on the Browse button > Choose your text image > If your text background is darker then mark the option Background Color is darker or leave it blank > Hit on the Continue button.
- After hitting the Continue button, your text image will be divided into pieces according to characters.
- Check every image and input character. Leave the box blank if there is more than one character in a image. Or if the character is not clear enough in the picture.
- Hit on the Continue button. Then you will get a list of possible fonts that is matched/ related to your image.
Pay Attention -
- Supported Image Formats: JPEG, GIF, PNG
- Text image should be in a single line
- Good quality image
- Image size should be less than 2 MB
- Text color and background color should be differentiable

Do you know Twitter let you attach photos with your tweets? If you have a blog or website, you can make a card for it. And when you share your URLs on Twitter, that card will appear with your tweets! All you need to do is simply add an HTML code on your site.
In my previous post, I discussed about Facebook Open Graph. If youve already implemented Facebook Open Graph on your site, then creating a Twitter Card will be much easier for you. Because, Facebook Open Graph an Twitter Card is almost similar.
5 Simple Steps to Create a Card
- Choose a Card Type for your site - ie. Summary Card with Large Image
- Now get the code from there. Change it where necessary.
- Add the code in your sites HTML.
- Test your home page URL through Card Validator.
- Now tweet your sites link and your card will appear below the post!
