Hard Reset your Star Mobile Up and remove password pattern lock gmail account

This tutorial is for Star Mobile Up. Just follow the instruction below. I will post my full ROM dump of this phone. Im still uploading the files.

Hard resetting / factory resetting your phone will solve the following issues:

1. If you forgot your pattern lock
2. If you forgot your gmail account
3. If you forgot your password
4. Apps that automatically force closing
5. Stuck in Star Mobile Logo (sometimes does not work if the firmware is totally damage)

NOTE: Performing hard reset will erase your data.

To hard reset:

1. Turn off your phone

2. Press and Hold Volume UP + Power Button simultaneously. Keep holding the buttons until the phone power up and you will see an android robot.

3. An Android with exclamation will appear with "no command." word in it. Press POWER Button to activate android system recovery.

5. Select wipe data / factory reset, press Volume rocker to navigate and press the VOLUME UP to confirm the selection

6. Reboot your phone.

Note:
If performing hard reset did not succeed, you need to wipe the cache
first in the android system recovery before performing wipe / factory
reset.

Never Give Up

Started writing in 2012 and this is the 500th post of Marks PC Solution. In this landmark, I wish to share my feelings/ experiences with you. I also would like to inspire you. I dont know how to start and where to end. But I will try to motivate you for sure. Lets go . . .

This picture looks very funny. And really it is. But you must understand the actual meaning of this picture.

It teaches us how to survive. Whatever happens to you, never give up. Im not only talking to webmasters. With all of my readers I would like to share the same message. Dont give up your hope under any circumstance.

Be honest in your side and do your work properly. Believe yourself and someday you will succeed. I consider myself as a successful webmaster. Though Im engaged with an organization, I would like to express myself as a webmaster!

Still I face these problems. But I never give up. Sometimes I feel bore. I get disappointed. And this is very natural. But later I start with more enthusiasm.

And this is how you can recover -

Stop working for some days

Reset your mind

Go for travelling

Watch nature, flowers and trees

And then get back in life. Get back to your work. Dont expect the best result always. Bad things happen. You just do your work honestly. Dont think about result too much. Just keep in mind that, someday you will get the reward.

But remember one thing. Never stick to something which is absolutely impossible. In that case it will be a loss project. What is not yours just leave it. But which you need to achieve, dont compromise it.

Star Mobile Up Firmware Stock ROM to unbrick your phone

Hi,

This firmware is for Star Mobile Up. This is not for Star Mobile UP+.I can assure that this firmware is working, because I have tried it myself.

Sometimes after you flash your phone you will encounter an invalid IMEI or Baseband is damaged. I will also include the NVRAM that I had back-uped so you can also fix the DAMAGE Baseband or Unknown Baseband Issue.

You can fix the following issue in your phone:
1. Bootloop
2. Damaged System UI
3. TP Upgrade only
4. Dead phone but it is detected in computer
5. Remove Gmail Account / Password / Pattern Lock (Alternative Way)

Installing Driver with AutoInstaller

First try the Alternative Driver, which is the AutoInstaller. Just open the install.exe then it will automatically install the driver. To fully check if the driver is correctly installed in your computer.

Follow these steps:

Turn off your phone (always powered off is a must)
Press and hold volume up or down, or you can simple press the two button.
Insert your USB cable without releasing the VOLUME button(s).
In your computer, it must detect your phone and it will install the MTK Preloader or Mediatek USB VCOM driver.
Repeat 1 to 4 if it does not detect your phone.
If MTK Preloader/Mediatek USB VCOM Driver is installed you are good to go in flashing your phone ^_^

Installing Manually using VCOM Driver

When installing it manually your phone must be turned off, then connect it to your computer/laptop while pressing VOLUME UP or VOLUME DOWN. This will detect and look for the driver.

1. This is the first time that you will connect your phone and it will search for the correct driver.

2. Check include this location ... ... and click on browse. Look for USB VCOM Driver and Click on 2K_XP_COM folder if you are using Windows XP or Win7 for Windows 7 and then press OK when you are done picking the right folder for the driver.

3. If the driver is successfully installed MediaTek DA USB VCOM will appear in the New Hardware Wizard.

"Your Phone must be turned off when you are ready to connect and flash your phone"

Flashing

1. Launch FlashTool (flash_tool.exe)

2. In Flashtool, Click on Scatter-Loading, and load your scatter file. (see example below)

3. After you load the file, press Press Download to Flash your Phone.

4. After you press Download Follow these steps

Turn off your phone (always powered off is a must)
Press and HOLD volume UP or Down or you can simply press it simultaneously
Insert your USB cable without releasing the VOLUME button(s).
Keep on repeating until Flashtool detected your phone.

5. If successfully detected just wait until the progress bar reaches 100%. If your phone did not automatically turn on after flashing, remove battery and USB cable. And put back your battery then turn on your device.

"Hard reset your phone after flashing"

Some workarounds:

If you encounter PMT_Changed error here is what you do:

In Latest version of Flashtool

Load the scatter file
Choose Format all + Download (Underneath Scatter-loading file)
Then Click Download and wait until it is done flashing

For Invalid IMEI:Your Phone/Tablet must be rooted first
Restore yong IMEI in MTKDroidTools version 2.5.3. You will have this error when you format your phone in Flashtool as I had experienced. To restore download MTKDroidTools version 2.5.3 After you extract the file. Open the green robot, you must enable the usb debugging in your phone. It is usually located in Settings>Devoloper Mode then look for usb debugging. After enabling it. Connect your phone in your computer then in MTKDroidTool click on ROOT. Wait for it to finish, then Click in IMEI/NVRAM, input 15 number in each box. Then click REPLACE. Then click Reboot or you can manually turn off your phone. Then turn your phone on again. You can see that you have fully restored your IMEI.

FOR DAMAGED BASEBAND or UNKNOWN BASEBAND (Your phone must be rooted first)

1. Make sure you have MTKDROIDSTOOL version 2.4.8 or version 2.5.3 (you can search it in google)
2. In MTKDroidstool (I assume you launch the tool) -- Click in Root.
3. In your device -- After you press Root, you need to authorize it. A pop up message will appear. Click Allow/Authorize depends on your root application.
4. In MTKDroidsTool -- Click in IMEI/NVRAM, then click in RESTORE.
5. Then look for the folder where you extracted the NVRAM files.
6. Check if the Baseband is fixed. And if the IMEI is fully restored.
7. If Baseband is still Unknown and IMEI is invalid. Then you need to hard reset first your phone.
8. After hard reset your baseband should be fixed already. (base on my experience)
9. If your baseband is fixed sometimes the IMEI is still invalid. So you need to restore the IMEI.
10. To restore IMEI follow Step 1-4, but you should not restore. You should fill the IMEI then click REPLACE. Then reboot your phone. VOILA! I hope the phone is fully working :)

3. After you load the file, FILL CUSTPACK, MOBILE_INFO, and other file if only available in the firmware. Ignore if not available. UNCHECK PRELOADER only (Never flash preloader), If you cannot proceed in flashing without PRELOADER include PRELOADER. Proceed at your own risk, press Press Download to Flash your Phone.

4. After you press Download Follow these steps

Turn off your phone (always powered off is a must)
Press and HOLD volume UP or Down or you can simply press it simultaneously
Insert your USB cable without releasing the VOLUME button(s).
Keep on repeating until Flashtool detected your phone.

"Hard reset your phone after flashing"

Some workarounds:

If you encounter PMT_Changed error here is what you do:

In Latest version of Flashtool

PMT_CHANGED error occur when firmware is not compatible with your phone. Sometimes your phone has a different board version. You should check it too, if your firmware is compatible with your phone.
Try Firmware upgrade
Try different version of flashtool
Try to set Format All + Download
Or try Manual Format first then Download.

If you encounter Privacy Protection Password:

Open flash_tool.exe
Load the scatter file
Goto Format Tab
Click on Format except bootloader
Press Play/Start Icon
Then remove battery
Insert the battery again
Insert the USB cable (you should hear a beep on your computer, and it should proceed in formatting.)
After done formatting proceed in Flashing.
Goto Download tab (I assume that you loaded the scatter file already)
Uncheck PRELOADER (this is very important)
Press Download
Then remove battery
Insert Battery again
Insert the USB cable (you should hear a beep on your computer, and it should proceed in flashing or downloading the firmware in your phone.)
Power ON the phone after flashing.
Restore your IMEI.

For Invalid IMEI (Does not work in MT6571 SoC):

Root your phone via vRoot/iRoot/Kingoroot or your preferred method in rooting you device. Your phone must be rooted first.
Download MTKDroidsTool version 2.4.8 and version 2.5.3
Enable your USB debugging in Developer Option (you also need this in rooting your phone via PC)
Okay in your PC -- Open MTKDroidstool version 2.4.8 (Mtkdroidstool.exe) first. Make sure that you connected your phone already.
Still in Mtkdroidstool -- Click ROOT
In your phone -- A pop up dialogue will appear, just grant or allow it.
In your PC -- If root shell is granted/allowed, Click in IMEI/NVRAM tab. If it is grayed out this is the time when you open the MTKDroidsTool version 2.5.3.
Enter your original IMEI
Click Replace
Reboot your phone

FOR DAMAGED BASEBAND or UNKNOWN BASEBAND (Your phone must be rooted first)

1. Make sure you have MTKDROIDSTOOL version 2.4.8 or version 2.5.3 (you can search it in google)
2. In MTKDroidstool (I assume you launch the tool) -- Click in Root.
3. In your device -- After you press Root, you need to authorize it. A pop up message will appear. Click Allow/Authorize depends on your root application.
4. In MTKDroidsTool -- Click in IMEI/NVRAM, then click in RESTORE.
5. Then look for the folder where you extracted the NVRAM files.

10. To restore IMEI follow Step 1-4, but you should not restore. You should fill the IMEI then click REPLACE. Then reboot your phone. VOILA! I hope the phone is fully working :)

Setting up Custom Domain for Blogger Blog

Blogger allows you to run a blog at free of cost. Unlike WordPress, you can use all the features and benefits from blogger without spending a single dollar. But if you would like to use a custom domain for your blog, then you have to purchase it from a third party domain registrar.

Few years ago, blogger had its own domain registrar and the users could purchase a domain from blogger dashboard. And it was very easy for the users to set a custom domain that time. But later blogger stopped providing custom domain service. So, the bloggers who would like to use custom domain for the blogs, should purchase domains from third party.

Setting up Custom Domain

Well for the new users domain set up process is little bit complex. But if you go step by step, then it wouldnt be so difficult.

First, you need to purchase a custom domain (Choose a domain name and register it. Before that, make sure the domain is available) from a domain provider. As you know, there are numerous domain hosting sites available, you can choose one which you prefer. Here I can list some of them:

GoDaddy (Marks PC Solution is currently using it)

Bluehost

EasyDNS

Hover

Namecheap

And there are many other domain service providers throughout the web. You can find them by search with the words - Domain Registrar or Domain Provider etc. And the registration charge and renewal varies with the provider. I guess, you have to pay $10 to $15 per year for the domain name only.

Next, youve to set up your domain with the site. Hope youve already purchased the domain. Now follow the steps below:

Go to Blogger Dashboard > Settings > Basics
Then move to the Publishing > Blog Address > Hit on the Edit button
Now type the domain URL youve registered i.e. www.markspcsolution.com (you must begin the URL with www)
Hit on the Save button. Now you will see an error and two CNAMEs listed below. The first CNAME is same for all - Name being "www" and Destination "ghs.google.com". And the second CNAME varies person to person. Its a security CNAME. Example - Short token - 2mdsgfwgqzh3. Long token - gv-brhg3pungts8u7.dv.googlehosted.com.
Now go to your domain hosting providers site and find DNS (Domain Name System) settings from the dashboard.
Enter the first CNAME as - www for name, label or host. And ghs.google.com for destination, target or points to.
Enter the second CNAME similarly. Enter the short and long security token. Set the TTL to 1 hour.
For moving your naked domain to an actual site ( from markspcsolution.com to www.markspcsolution.com) you have to enter A records. Otherwise visitors may not access your site without using www.
Now enter the domain name (i.e. markspcsolution.com) and list the IP addresses as shown in the "A" section. Youve to create 4 separate A records which point to 4 different Googld IPs:
216.239.32.21
216.239.34.21
216.239.36.21
216.239.38.21
Now wait for about an hour to move to the final step. By this time your DNS settings will be activated.
Again back to the blogger Settings > Basics > Publishing > Edit > Enter your custom domain URL > Hit Save. Thats it.

Wait wait wait! Dont be hurry. Dont be disappointed. It might take up to 24 hours to work properly. And then your blogspot site will be redirected to your custom domain.

If the custom domain doesnt work, there could be any problem in the settings. In that case, you can contact your domain registrar or take help from an expert.

Some Issues you should know regarding custom domain:

All the backlinks you have with previous URL will no longer be counted.

But you can still get visitors from old backlinks/ bookmarks as your previous URL will be redirected to the new URL.

The link of all posts will be automatically converted to the new URL.

Images youve used with the posts will be showing without any problem.
